It was really misty this morning. There must be thousands of spiders in the grass here. Every morning there are webs everywhere, particularly in the grass. Gossamer galore. It is really nice to hear the red-winged black birds singing again. They had disappeared for a while. Saw another pair of pheasants.
Mom left for Chico again last night. She will be home tomorrow evening. It is raining there as well as here. Apparently a park on the Chico campus was used to film The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938): "Filming was done during the fall of 1937 in a local park, on the backlot, but for the most part up in Chico CA. The studio had a large area of property up there used for many films which required extensive exterior shots (other Flynn films shot in Chico include CHARGE OF THE LIGHT BRIGADE, THEY DIED WITH THEIR BOOTS ON, and OBJECTIVE, BURMA!)". Would like to try out some of those trees one day.
With the rainy season beginning, two weeks early, the fields are beginning to turn green. Rather strange. In Colorado, when not in the middle of a drought, the fields are brown in the winter and green in the summer. Here they are green in the winter and brown in the summer.
The exterior lighting fixtures were installed on the new house as well as the garage door.
