For any dog visitin' the Left Coast Bay Area here is list dog parks that one reporter, from the SF Chronicle, considers great for us and our humans. Since I have not been to any of them I have to take his bark for it.
BEST HIKING BUDDY / Dog-friendly trails
One of the article sidebars states that we have to be under ABSOLUTE voice control. What is 'absolute'? I don't believe in absolutes, except maybe zero and Dad says vodka.
Case in pointer: I'm asked to 'Sit' by one of my humans. All of a sudden a bear starts runnin' towards us. I think I might want to break the command and try to save my human or my butt. Which ever I think of first.
So puh...leez! I think it is great that we have trained our humans to vocally describe the stance we are currently displaying, but don't expect them to bark out the description EVERY time. They can easily be distracted.
And...
Mars Inc., that makes M&Ms, is gonna to buy the company that makes Greenies. So finally we can get our chocolate fix!! Arf! Arf!
Mars to Buy Greenies Dog Treat Maker
Now my dad doesn't know what to do. I like my Greenies (My humans watch while I chew on them so I don't get hurt.), but Mars does not make dark chocolate (Dad's fav. The ONLY chocolate, he barks.) M&Ms on a regular basis, so he is dogboycotting their products. What can I bark to change his mind? Woe is me.

your dad is right, freda... dark chocolate m&m's would be as close to a perfect food as my mommy could imagine! (never thought about it before... but they make those things with peanut butter in 'em, how hard would it be to add dark chocolate?)
of course, you and i would never-ever in a million years get any of that chocolate, because it's reallyreally bad for puppies... but, i'm guessin' you already knew that! : D
