Today Mom and Dad Human recycled and cleaned up the car a bit and I 'hepped'.
Yup! All cardboard. No food. ARF!
You have to make sure that you don't mix up the stuff you recycle. There's stuff you can eat and drink and stuff the food and drink comes in. Humans recycle the non-food stuff. I make sure there's no food left in the recycles. If I find any, I recycle it in my own way. Then there is the kind of paper we potty trained on when we were puppies. (Why humans still get that paper after we're potty trained I'll never know.)
Dog, they drank a bit when Tule was here!
After Mom went to the store to buy more food and recycle the non-food stuff it was time to clean the car so it can get dirty again on the trip tomorrow. Mom worked inside...
These came from where?
I'll just hold this one down in case it gets windy.
Dad checked the noise maker in the front of the Bug and I found out something very interesting...
Hmm..Dad, you never told me this was a 20 Vole Turbo.
(I wonder why?)
I know they're in there somewhere. Here little buddy.
Mom and Dad are going to a place east of here called Lake Toehold or something like that. My typist's parents (from Colorado), they're humans too, are celebrating their 61st wedding anniversary (Some human thing) and are visiting South Lake Toehold with some friends. They have known these friends for as long as they have been married, if not longer. That's sooo cool! My humans are going to the lake to visit and wish them the happy stuff. I get to stay home and get D.A.P.-a-fied. The place Mom and Dad are visiting doesn't allow pets. Must be a really weird place.

Wow Freda, you are a very helpful dog!
I'll just hold this one down in case it gets windy. That one is so great! :>)
Cal
Thank you both.
We are known as 'man's best friend'. It is considered a symbiotic relationship. You scratch my tummy and I'll lick your face or something to that effect. Sometimes we do a little extra, like helping recycle, but we always try to get that little innocent extra-the '...in case it gets windy' ploy. We have got to keep coming up with new tricks all the time. The humans are catching up with us in the smarts category little by little. Luckily my typist is a little slow so I don't have to work as hard as some other dogs out there.
Woof!
Freda
Dog, we have been to that Lake Toe something. It is COLD IN THAT WATER! I went in when I was just a little tyke but dog I came out fast when that icy water hit my tummy. A dog could get indigestions swimming in that stuff.
Freda you are just so impressive...a car doggie! Checking under the hood of the beetle...so smart you are. You should give your typist a big head thump....<:-) You have to keep them happy!
