The misses is off to Chico again to return Saturday. It really rained hard this evening. Just hours before the storm, the roof of the new house was tiled, 30 days after they were stacked on the roof. It only took them eight hours to finish the job. The storm came out of nowhere. Sunny to partly cloudy was the forecast. They have delivered the plumbing packages for five more homes along the golf course. At a $100,000 premium for a golf course lot the developer is raking in the bread. The final coat of paint was applied yesterday.
In the pasture across the stream they removed two eucalyptus trees that have died during the past several months. Sure looks bare. Several of the other eucalyptus trees were trimmed back. Something is happening to them.
The bulrushes have turned golden brown to yellow. Many plants have turned brown while others have recently sprouted and present a nice green contrast to the yellows and browns.
Master is watching Peter Lorre in Fritz Lang's "M". A very intense and interesting movie. Some very good acting on Mr. Lorre's part. We think he really did hit his head in one scene. It sure sounded solid. Ouch!
