Finally saw an Anna's hummer in the backyard. The mallow and hibiscus were serving up breakfast for him. The female preying mantis found a mate. They spent much of the day copulating. Wonder where she will place her egg case.
My owners, ha, are going up to Mendocino then on to Scotia in a couple of days. I will be stuck in Lodi again. Hope to see some of my friends.
The variegated bower vines in front are growing six to eight inches a day. Reminds me of an "Avengers" plot. Afraid we will wake up with all the windows covered with wickedly, swaying vegetation.
