This weekend we attended the Lambtown, USA in Dixon and the Pear Fair in Courtland. In Dixon we watched the sheep dog trials. They used the international rules. Each food vendor had to provide at least one lamb dish. Saw a handsome jacob ram. The breed began some 3000 years ago in the region of Syria. It is a pied and polycerated sheep. Some look spectacular.
The Pear Fair provided many pear dishes, lots of pear merchandise and a classic auto display. The pie was great. The pear industry is very large in the region. As you drive along the levees, you look down on acres of pear orchards, along with apple orchards, vineyards, alfalfa, corn, strawberries and tomatoes to name a few of the agricultural commodities.
I got my Heartgard today. It tastes so good.
It has been in the nineties the past several weeks, but when the D- breeze is blowing it is great. The summer delta days may be hot, but the nights are nice and cool. When it is time for our afternoon walk and the street is too hot for my paws I get to ride in the golf cart to the park. Then a spin around the neighborhood before going home. Woooof!
