NEW HOUSE/SCRUB JAY/APPLE HILL

The concrete was poured for the drive and sidewalk. Don't worry, the house is almost done and there will be no more updates once it is finished.
On our walk this morning we saw a Scrub Jay. We have seen several in downtown Rio Vista. Then I was DAPed and the humans drove up to a region north of Placerville called "Apple Hill". There are apple orchards, vineyards and a brewery up there. The area is about 93 miles northeast from here. They visited two wineries, several orchards and the Jack Russell Brewing Co. My humans tried five of their beers and found all to be rather off. The Porter was thin and the Raspberry Beer were downright terrible. They had been chewing cinnamon gum just before the tasting so perhaps their palates were off. According to Celebrator Aug/Sept '97 the Jack Russell products are good.
