The Spanish roof tiles for the new house were stacked on the roof today. They will remain stacked until the house "seasons". This lets the walls adjust to the weight of the tiles. If the house is not built to support the heavy tiles it may collapse. This happened years ago in Australia. A homeowner got a good deal on roofing tiles. He tiled his roof and then watched his home collapse. It was not built to hold the extra weight.
Our in-laws moved into their new home just south of Lake Pontchartrain. Quite a change from Denver. Heat, humidity and hurricanes instead of dry, hot, cold, snow and tornadoes. Hope my humans can go there for Madi Gras.
